Landscaping Lawn Care Books CleanupHow to move through this site

The menu, the forms, and the pictures are built so a keyboard and a phone can both finish the page.

What we built for

Every page starts with a skip link that moves focus to the content. The header is one landmark, the reading is another, and the footer is a third. Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall. Body type is 18 pixels. We aim for contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 between the ink and the white ground.

On a phone the menu is one row labelled Menu. Open it and the links sit in a column under the wordmark, and the headline moves down with them. On a wider screen the same links sit in a row and the Menu label hides. Nothing on that row needs a script.

Pictures carry a written description. The first pictures load with the page. Later ones wait until you are near them, and each one has a width and a height so the page does not jump. If you prefer less motion, the scroll snap on the home turns off.

The calendar on the booking page does not load until you ask for it or you scroll to it. That keeps the page from jumping to the frame. A form field has a label you can see. Errors from the browser stay next to the field.

If a page blocks you, call the number in the footer and say which page. We will fix the block on the page, not in a side note. We do not publish an email address for that request.
